Besan ke Gatte ki Sabji Recipe

Ingredients required to make Besan ke gatte:

Gram flour – two cups

Red chili – half table spoon

Turmeric – a quarter tablespoon

Coriander Powder – half a table spoon

Cumin seeds – half table spoon

Aniseed – half table spoon

Oil – 2 tbsp

salt to taste

Baking soda – 1 pinch

Celery – a quarter tbsp

Ingredients required to make vegetable curry –

Onion – 1 medium size

Green chili – 2

Tomato – 1 medium size

Ginger – 1 inch

Garlic – 3 to 4 buds

Oil – 3 to 4 tbsp

Cumin seeds – half table spoon

Asafoetida – 1 pinch

Curd – 3 tbsp

Red chili – a quarter tablespoon

Coriander Powder – half a table spoon

Turmeric powder – a quarter tbsp

Garam masala – a quarter tbsp

Coriander finely chopped 1 tbsp

salt to taste

Method of preparation of Besan ke Gatte ki Sabji –

First, filter the gram flour (besan) and take it out in a vessel, add oil, salt, celery, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin, fennel, baking soda and mix well, then add a little water and knead softly.

Now take the dough of gram flour and roll it out with the help of your hands and make long rolls, make the same type of roll using all gram flour.

Now take water in a vessel and boil. Put all the gram flour rolls in the boiled water, keep in mind that all the rolls should be submerged in water, let it cook for 15 minutes after that take out all the rolls from the water. Put it on a plate and let it cool down. After cooling, cut them into half-inch pieces, Gatta is ready.

Now to make the curry, first of all, make a paste of onion, green chillies, garlic and ginger in the mixer, take them out in a plate and then make tomato paste as well.

Now put oil in the pan, when the oil is hot, add asafetida, mustard, cumin seeds, after this, add onion paste and fry well on low heat. After frying well, add tomato puree and all spices like red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder. When the spices start separating the oil, add some curd to it.

Now add water to it, pour water according to your requirement, according to the thickness you want, add water to it. When water boils, add prepared gattas to it. Now put garam masala and salt in it, cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Cook well.

Delicious gram flour gatta (besan gatte ki sabji) vegetable is ready, garnish with coriander leaves.
