Ingredients required to make Matar Paratha

Ingredients required for preparing flour-

Wheat flour – 400 grams (2 cups)

Gram flour – 1 tbsp

salt to taste

Ingredients required to make pea masala

Green peas – 500 grams peeled

Green Chili – 4

Ginger – half inch

Garlic – four to five buds

Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp

Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp

Gram flour – 2 tablespoons

Red chili – half a tablespoon

Coriander Powder – half a tablespoon

Coriander finely chopped as per taste

salt to taste

Method of preparation of matar paratha

First, take the flour, add salt to it, mix one spoon gram flour and knead it with lukewarm water. Now keep it for 15 to 20 minutes. Parathas will become crispy by adding a little gram flour.

Now grind green peas coarsely in the mixer and make green chili, ginger and garlic paste also.

To make the masala, take a stiff pan, add four teaspoons of oil to it, now add mustard seeds to it and also add green chili-ginger garlic paste. Now add red chili and coriander powder to it. Cook the spices well on low heat. When the spices start releasing the oil then add a little fennel and add the peas to it.Cook the spices well on low heat.

Now add salt and green coriander to the spices. Cook the spices well on low heat. When the masala is cooked well, add a little gram flour over it and cook the spices a little more. Masala is ready.

Now to make matar paratha, place the griddle on the gas , make a circle with the dough and roll it a little.

Now place a spoonful of peas on the rolled paratha, lift the paratha from all the sides and close it and press with both hands to make it a little bigger! Now wrap it in dry flour and roll out gently.

Place the rolled matar paratha on the griddle, apply oil on both the sides and turn it till it turns brown.

Delicious Matar Paratha is ready and serve it with curd.
